ABOUT PATTY PADRON
Teacher by day. Storyteller whenever she can steal the time.
Patty Padron has always believed that the most interesting stories begin when life refuses to go according to plan.
Born and raised in New Jersey and now living in Arizona, Patty is a schoolteacher who writes in the margins of an already full life—early mornings before work, late nights when the house is quiet, and anywhere else a story refuses to wait.
Her fiction is drawn to complicated people: characters carrying histories they would rather forget, people who have made mistakes, built walls, and convinced themselves they know exactly how their lives are supposed to unfold.
And then someone comes along and changes everything.
That fascination is at the heart of Reasonable Doubt, Patty’s romance about brilliant New York defense attorney Casper Malak and Sean Lancaster, the former Marine accused of murder whom Casper is sworn to defend. What begins as a courtroom battle becomes a story about trust, redemption, second chances—and finding home in the last person you expected.
For Patty, the most satisfying love stories aren’t about perfect people. They’re about people who see one another clearly—flaws, scars, history and all—and choose each other anyway.
When she isn’t teaching or writing, Patty can usually be found thinking about the next scene, talking about fictional characters as though they’re actual people, or promising herself she’ll go to bed after just one more paragraph.
Good stories change lives. Sometimes writing them changes yours.
